Here are a selection of sermons and manuscripts that Earl C. Davis wrote while at the Unitarian Church in Concord, New Hampshire. According to the church’s records, he took up his ministry there in 1924. So, it is likely that the two sermons that he preached there in 1923–October 28, “Life Has Meaning” and November 4, “The Search for Life”–were part of an “audition” for taking up his ministry there in 1924. Perhaps of particular interest is a long text Davis in 1932 about Abigail Adams (1744-1818) and her descendent, Brooks Adams (1848-1927).
