About WAASE
The Worcester Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (WAASE) formed in October 2012 following a report on prostitution by the Worcester Police Department. The alliance includes the city’s Division of Public Health, law enforcement, hospitals, colleges, a dozen community-based organizations, and substance abuse treatment and recovery organizations.

Vision
Working groups cover communications, working with women, legal, community engagement, best practices, and reducing demand.

We strive for the elimination of sex trafficking in Greater Worcester. We envision a community that recognizes sex trafficking as a crime; considers traffickers, buyers, and facilitators, as criminals; and, treats victims and survivors with dignity and respect.
