The TED Talk Night
At the end of our TED Talk unit, there were two scheduled presentation times. Every 10th grade student was required to present during the TEDxUPCS conference, which was a full day of presentations in front of 7th and 8th grade audiences. The 7th and 8th grade students were given the opportunity to choose their top three favorite presenters from each round of the four rounds of presentations. After tallying all of the votes, we determined the top 10 presenters, who were invited back the next night to present again for family and friends.
Though the crowd who actually came to the TED Talk Night was smaller than we had anticipated, the night of presentations was fun and celebratory. The students who presented were proud of their hard work.
