Research Focus

Our research group focuses on modeling transcriptional regulation in fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster). This includes topics in mathematics such as reaction-diffusion equations, numerical solvers, sensitivity analysis and parameter estimation. We are also interested in many other areas that bridge the gap between mathematics, computer science and biology, including data analysis, image processing, evolutionary algorithms and bioinformatics.

Fall 2017 Semester
Prof. Dresch and her collaborator, Prof. Drewell, are spending Fall 2017 as the inaugural Sabbatical Professors at the BioFrontiers Institute at the University of Colorado, Boulder: BFI Sabbatical Professors
