Comparative Campaign Finance

My edited volume The Deregulatory Moment?  A Comparative Perspective on Changing Campaign Finance Laws was published in early 2016 by the University of Michigan Press.  The main question of the book is whether the United States is unique in its movement away from government regulation of campaign finance.  The book draws upon papers presented at a conference I organized in 2013 in Remich, Luxembourg, under the auspices of the Henry J. Leir Center.  The conference brought together North American and European campaign finance scholars to evaluate changes over the past decade in the campaign finance systems of Western democracies.  Abstracts and other materials from the conference are available here.
