Student teaching at the school with No Limits! Welcome to my E-folio!
About me!

Hi, my name is Carlos Hasbun and welcome to my E-folio, a culmination of my student teaching experience and who I am as a person and a teacher. During my student teacher, I taught at South High Community High School, a school set in the Main South community, with a total enrollment of 1,791 students, making it the largest in the district. I always loved physics and being able to not only teach it but learn from my students as well was part of why I decided to enter this profession.
Growing up in the Main South Community:
I have been a member of the Main South and the Worcester Public School community all of my life. My entire educational career spans just a few blocks as all the schools I attended are a few blocks from another. This is the same community that my students live in as well, leading to a sense of unity through growths and tragedies in the community. As a teacher, I also want to be a supporter in moments of celebrations, and moments of tragedies in my community since schools and teachers become anchors within the communities they reside in.
Drive for teaching:
If we think of the universe like a program on a computer, then physics would be the lines of code that dictate how it runs. Therefore, learning about physics is learning about the universe itself and this is a concept that many greats like Richard Feynman, Carl Sagen, Bill Nye, and more wished to communicate to many in a way that was fun and understandable. It was thanks to scientist like these that fell in love with the wonder’s physics, and so I wish to do the same with my students.
