Curriculum Unit Plan II: Volume & Surface Area
This unit took what we learned about 2D shapes and brought it into 3D, where we learned about volume and surface area of cubes, prisms, cones, cylinders, pyramids, and spheres. Students learned through discovery with the net exploration and 3D building project, then took it to the real world with some 3 Act Math and MCAS problems, and capped of the unit with a packing project.
