Below are guidelines for this section of your portfolio. When you’re ready, delete the text on this page and replace with your own content.
This is an opportunity to reflect on your students’ overall learning in light of your overall goals for learning for the year, what you were looking for as evidence of learning, and student work samples and assessments. Give attention to:
- your overall goals for your students’ learning (across your curriculum unit plans)—for example, their habits as thinkers and learners, their mindsets, academic capabilities and content knowledge, their voice and agency
- what evidence you looked for in order to assess student learning in relation to these goals
- examples of student work and what they illustrate in terms of progress towards your learning goals (based on at least two subject areas if you are elementary and at last one class if you are secondary).
As an example of student growth, consider including reflection based on at least one of your Individual Learner Portraits from the fall as well (include the portrait). You might find that examples of student feedback and measures of student learning you use as part of the MA CAP evaluation process are helpful in illustrating student growth. Hyperlink this section to other sections of your portfolio for examples and illustration as appropriate.
Examples
- Your individual CUP goals might help you identify your overall goals
- Use beginning and developed examples of student work where possible
- Use pre- and post- assessments
- Use feedback from students themselves (e.g., exit cards, written reflections, questionnaire)
