Professor M. Waldman
My name is Professor M. Waldman, and I am a scientist specializing in chemistry at the University of Ingolstadt. Although my passion for chemistry consumes most of my time, I still stay informed of all the new discoveries in any field of natural philosophy and regularly read new works by my colleagues to refresh my memory. I have the outmost respect for the great natural philosophers, the founders of my field of studies today, yet I am much more realistic in my views than they are. The wild imagination of my previous professors as well as many of my students I find preposterous, only a fool could confuse the beautiful art of chemistry with the imaginative fiction of alchemy or magic. A few months ago a new student came into my office after attending my lecture, his name is Victor Frankenstein. From the first few minutes of our conversation I could tell his passion for science was great, therefore I straightaway decided to put him on the right track to success by exposing him to the many fields of natural philosophy besides chemistry, and making sure he familiarizes himself with all of them. The pace of his advancements astonishes me and in the past few months he mastered what took me years to learn. Lately Frankenstein has been showing less interest in science and dislike towards it, I wonder what causes him to feel that?
