Alphonse Frankenstein

My name is Alphonse Frankenstein. I come from a long line of syndics from Geneva. My prime order of business is serving the public in any way that I can. I have tried to build myself a great reputation by working in public business for the sake of the other citizens. It was only when my elderly age started to finally set I decided it would be best that I should marry in order to leave behind a child who would follow in my footsteps and bring honor to the Frankenstein name for years to come. I have a soft pot for my son Victor. When I see that he becomes distressed or melancholy I remind him that he does have family that can take care of him and support him. I also try to instill in him a sense of duty to both his fellow countrymen and those he cares about.  A man I had cared for so much, Beaufort, his fortunes wrecked, died a sad death which tore at my soul. However, it was through his death that I came close to Caroline, who later became my wife. Again, sadly, she too came to an unwelcome death due to scarlet fever which she contracted from Elizabeth our adopted child, which we had raised lovingly hoping that one day she would wed our son Victor.
