Overview: Jacob Hiatt is a public magnet school located in the Main South neighborhood of Worcester, Massachusetts. There are about 370 students enrolled here and serves grades pre-k to 6th grade. About 85% of students are a part of minority groups according to the Jacob Hiatt Massachusetts DOE Profile. 65% of students have English as not their first language, with 25% of students classified as multilingual (MLL) learners. 87% of students are high-needs learners.

 

STAR Expectations: Jacob Hiatt uses star expectations as a set of guidelines. Each student has a star card, and earns “clicks” when they are following star expectations. When a student fills an entire star card, they get a reward.
