One of the most exciting and important parts of teaching is building community within a classroom. To me, a successful classroom community is one where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings, engaging in conversations and taking risks in their reading, writing and speaking. It is also important to me that my classroom is a space where students know that I care about them and their wellbeing, and can expect to feel happy and have a little fun. In this section you will find a reflection on the efforts I made to execute this in my classroom.
