Pull-Back Car Experiment Jamboard (1) (For Efolio) Science Experiment Feb. 2, 2021

This is the Jamboard we used to discuss our findings in the experiment.  Please note the predictions, observations, and the conclusions (written by me) that we came to as a class after discussing what we had seen and written.  Also included are some pictures taken of the experiment in progress.  It was so great to see students having fun with this at-home experiment while engaging their critical thinking skills! Tips and tricks on how make a good slide

This first slideshow was made entirely by student leaders who wanted to give their friends some “tips and tricks” about how to make an interesting Google Slides presentation before everyone worked on their research projects.

This is one of many collaborate boards that students participated in over the course of three interactive Nearpod presentations about the three regions they would be studying.

For Efolio - Midwest For Efolio - Check Out This Slideshow Before You Visit the Southwest For Efolio - West

Here are the presentations made by groups of 8 to 9 students on their assigned region of the United States.  Students designed and completed everything from the title pages to the backgrounds to the content.  Students had so much fun researching and planning vacations to their assigned region, and even more fun presenting what they learned for their classmates.  It was a great opportunity for their personal interests and styles to shine.

For Efolio - Jacob Hiatt Energy Letters from the Fourth Grade

This is a compilation of the letters written to the principal about the energy used at Jacob Hiatt, which comes mostly from petroleum and nuclear power.  Students voiced their opinions clearly and supported them with evidence, and explained why they felt a change was necessary.  I particularly enjoyed how each student’s personal voice came through in their writing!
