As is the rest of Worcester, my classroom is racially and linguistically very diverse, which serves as an enormous asset to all learning in our classroom, and is especially clear and necessary for our study of culture. It is my intention to capture the very human desire to understand oneself better and where one comes from through this study of culture. Their sense of self will continue to be developed <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">far<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> beyond this lesson, this classroom, and this school, although this unit is intended to be another framework through which my students can situate themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this social studies unit, students will be begin to explore culture through online research, guest speakers, and reading books.
