{"id":696,"date":"2018-11-12T12:31:51","date_gmt":"2018-11-12T17:31:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.clarku.edu\/mat19-template\/?page_id=696"},"modified":"2019-04-30T21:51:24","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T01:51:24","slug":"references","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.clarku.edu\/mat19-slevy\/learning-teaching-portraits\/portrait-iii-overview\/references\/","title":{"rendered":"References"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For this unit on understanding culture, I used a lot of technological tools to enhance the level of engagement for my students as they were able to take on ownership over what they were learning.<\/p>\n<p>I used&nbsp;<strong>Google Classroom<\/strong> to set up a classroom for my students where they could access articles on their cultural backgrounds on kid-friendly websites. This was set up with help in large part to a fellow teacher,&nbsp;<strong>Annie Cohn<\/strong> who was a very helpful reference.<\/p>\n<p>For the final assignemnt, I used <strong>Flipgrid&nbsp;<\/strong>to record the student&#8217;s final videos. This way I could access the videos all at once from any internet source, and the students could have fun recording them with each other.
