Welcome to my portfolio!

Over the past year I was given the opportunity to work with 23 fourth graders at Woodland Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts. During that time I also got the opportunity to actively participate in masters courses in order to learn relevant techniques, theories, and discuss budding teaching thoughts into practice. In addition to this I got the opportunity to learn from my peers (during rounds and other conversations), mentor teachers, and other Woodland Academy staff (through observation and advisement). Over the year I have grown immensely. All of this growth and examples of the experiences and lessons can be found here!

Thank you!

This year I have grown both as a person and as a teacher. All of the following people are to thank for that growth and support. I appreciate you all.

My students, These students may have taught me more than I taught them.

Maureen Tivnan, my mentor teacher who was always there to clarify a question or give guidance on the formation of a lesson or unit. I look forward to forming my own classroom based off the foundation you allowed me to form in your classroom.

Carmen Ocón, my university mentor who always gave direct and applicable feedback, peppered with suggestions leading to improvements.

The MAT Cohort, always there to discuss struggles, celebrate the successes, and answer questions.

My people at home, whether I was calling home to share a triumph or discuss a struggle, you were there to love and support me just the same.

I look forward to the future and applying all that I have learned thus far and will continue to learn.
