Please refer to my lessons in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.clarku.edu\/mat16-tjung\/learning-teaching-portraits\/portrait-i-overview\/\">Painting with Complementary Colors Unit<\/a> for more information. This project was assigned to students in the winter and reflects my ability to develop well-structured and highly engaging lessons from the fall. My objectives were\u00a0clear and appropriate for students; most students were engaged with the lessons; and the quality of the final product show an improvement in students&#8217; art skills.<\/p>\n<p>Since the fall, I have continued to prepare well-structured lessons. Please refer to my lessons in the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.clarku.edu\/mat16-tjung\/learning-teaching-portraits\/portrait-ii-overview\/\">Collage Diptychs Unit<\/a> for more information. This project was assigned to students in late-spring and reflects my ability to develop well-structured and highly engaging lessons from earlier in the spring. I kept my lessons organized in a binder in order to reflect on their effectiveness, writing comments and suggestions for myself after each daily lesson.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>1B.2:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Adjustment to Practice<\/p>\n<p>During the fall CAP meeting, both my university mentor and my mentor teacher\u00a0granted me ratings of &#8220;<strong>Needs Improvement<\/strong>&#8221; in terms of adjusting my practice to students&#8217; needs. Please refer to my <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.clarku.edu\/mat16-tjung\/learning-teaching-portraits\/portrait-i-overview\/reflection\/\">reflection<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0the Painting with Complementary Colors Unit for more information. This\u00a0reflection from my lesson planning in the fall outlines my analysis of\u00a0how the unit panned out and how I could use those results to determine progress\u00a0for future implementations.\u00a0One suggestion from the fall was to have more differentiated instruction based on continual assessments of student work for future projects.<\/p>\n<p>Since the fall, I have used the information I gleaned from continual assessments of student work to add more differentiated instruction into my lessons. This reflection from my lesson planning in the spring outlines my analysis of\u00a0how the unit panned out and how I could use those results to determine progress\u00a0for future implementations.\u00a0Especially in the two collage lessons, you will find that I included multiple modes of presenting the content as a means for differentiating instruction so all students could access the information.
