South High Community School – Worcester, MA
South High is one of the largest and most diverse schools in Central Massachusetts. Given the districts large low-income population the school has qualified for a federal grant affording all students free lunch. The schools is rightly named a community school, the school offers students an incredible variety of supports to help all students excel academically independent of their income bracket.
Services such as: Free daycare for students with children, Food Pantry, Clothing Pantry, Shop and food-service classes, free dental and eye exams, classrooms for students with severe special needs, etc.
