Community

Worcester MA, a post-industrial city littered with triple decker apartments and old brick factories, is where the diverse community of South High students call home.  Although Sough High is on the outskirts of town the majority of students live within the Main South community, also home to Clark University.  Although it may not always be viewed in the best light due to it being a low income area, Main South is culturally diverse and home to many who wish to see it thrive.

Worcester itself is the second largest city in the North-East containing many beautiful parks, the college consortium, many restaurants, art museums, and concert halls.  The city is in the midst of a revitalization project that is trying to attract more business and tourism and really make Worcester flourish.

South High students take part in many community programs in the Main South area including various religious programs, Upward Bound which is held at Clark and other Worcester colleges and many others.
