4A.1:          Reflective Practice

One of the things about the Clark MAT program I have most appreciated, is the focus on reflection and learning from these reflections. Thinking about each lesson, each unit, and each week, is an incredibly powerful way of developing meta-cognitive strategies that improve your practice. I have never really kept a journal, but after this program I have began keeping one as I can see the value in documenting your thought process, and subsequently learning from this.

FinalReflection

This is my final reflection of the teaching year. It really brought everything together and made me think not only on what was accomplished, but why I began teaching in the first place, and even areas I still want to improve in. Reflection is such a key part of improving your practice in my opinion.
