Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit&#8221; &#8211; John Steinbeck<\/p>\n<p>During my MAT year, I was placed at University Park Campus School to do my student teaching. It is a nationally recognized public urban school. I knew none of this going into the program, it was serendipitous to find out that the culture that UPCS has build compliments the sense of community that I had come to love about my previous outdoor education work at Nature&#8217;s Classroom.
