All my courses share the following characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Situated at the interface of science, technology, policy and human values;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate the role of scientific knowledge in developing strategies for action, including the limits of scientific knowledge and attendant uncertainty;<\/li>\n<li>Deeply interdisciplinary, leading students to engage with theories and empirical evidence from natural and social sciences and the humanities;<\/li>\n<li>Evidence-based, including heavy reliance on empirical data, graphs, tables, and other means of considering causal relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Courses taught since 2000<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Cancer: Science and Society<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Toxicology<\/li>\n<li>Pollution Policy: the US Perspective<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable Consumption and Production<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Since the early 2000\u2019s all my university teaching has been with advanced undergraduate and Master\u2019s-level students.
