The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/research.amnh.org\/grants\/grantsprog.html\" target=\"_blank\">AMNH Roosevelt grant<\/a>\u00a0is designed to aid graduate research on the natural history and conservation of North American fauna.<\/p>\n<p>The second award was $1,000 from the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists Raney Fund. Set up in honor of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asih.org\/raney\" target=\"_blank\">Edward C.
