Hi Everyone! My name is Dr. Naomi Ruth Pitamber, and I am an Art History professor at Clark University.<\/p>\n
I am very excited about bringing my Leir Summer Program Students to Spain and Turkey for our one-month long course entitled ARTH 223S: Medieval Mediterranean Cities, Urban Environments, and Cultural Heritage.<\/p>\n
This idea for this class is based on a desire to share the Mediterranean, where I do much of my research and fieldwork, with my students at Clark University, beyond the classroom. I am thrilled that the Leir program has selected this course as one of its new wider European-based study abroad courses, and even more excited to be able to bring my students to places, spaces, and environments from which I have derived so much joy and fulfillment.<\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n
I am looking forward to sharing my areas of interest and expertise and to learning new things together on this extraordinary trip.<\/p>\n
Outside of work, one of my favorite things to do is to spend time with my standard poodle, Philippa.<\/p>\n
