She has collaborated with <a href=\"http:\/\/psychology.ucdavis.edu\/people\/szschei\">Joanna Scheib<\/a> at University of California Davis on several projects exploring the experiences of families that have used sperm donors to create their families. She has worked with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fmhconsultants.com\/about-david\/\">David Brodzinsky<\/a> on research exploring the experiences of lesbian, gay, and heterosexual adoptive families across the U.S. Dr. Goldberg regularly collaborates with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/juliannazsmith\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JuliAnna Smith<\/a> at the Center for Research on Families at the University of Massachusetts on a number of projects that explore new ways of analyzing dyads over time. She has collaborated on similar projects with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smith.edu\/academics\/faculty\/randi-garcia\">Randi Garcia<\/a> at Smith College. Dr. Goldberg has collaborated with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umass.edu\/stonewall\/about-us\/staff\">Genny Beemyn <\/a>at the University of Massachusetts on projects related to transgender students&#8217; experiences, and with <a href=\"https:\/\/miamioh.edu\/ehs\/academics\/departments\/fsw\/about\/faculty-staff\/kuvalanka\/index.html\">Kate Kuvalanka<\/a> at Miami University on research with trans youth and their families. A frequent collaborator is<a href=\"https:\/\/liberalarts.vt.edu\/departments-and-schools\/department-of-human-development-and-family-science\/faculty\/katherine-allen.html\">&nbsp;Katherine Allen<\/a> at Virginia Tech. Together, the pair have written many articles and edited several books on lesbian\/gay parent-families and family diversity.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current\/recent completed projects: <\/strong>Dr. Goldberg has recently finished collecting data for a few new projects, as of Spring 2026:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A mixed-methods study of trans adults in the U.S., surveyed shortly after the 2024 election;<\/li>\n<li>A mixed-methods study of parents of LGBTQ youth in Florida, regarding their experiences of advocacy in schools and in their communities;<\/li>\n<li>A study of LGBTQ+ married people in the United States and their experiences and perspectives related to marriage equality;<\/li>\n<li>A study of gender-affirming care providers across the United States<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ongoing:<\/strong> A study of adopted individuals&#8217; experiences transitioning to adulthood<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Goldberg is involved with a variety of other research projects.
